All about me...
Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Jessie Schellman and this is my fourth year teaching Kindergarten. I am so excited to be a part of the growing CLA community. I have been with CLA for almost 5 years and it has been a wonderful journey! I cannot wait to see what the 5 years will bring!
To give you a little bit of background on my education: I went to grade school at St. Joan of Arc in south city, where I graduated in 1998. I then moved on to Ursuline Academy for the next four years where I graduated in 2002. After Ursuline, I obtained my BS in Communication Arts from Southeast Missouri State University in 2006. I worked in the advertising and marketing field for a little over a year until I decided to go back to school. I obtained my Missouri Teaching Certification from UMSL in 2010. I plan on attending UMSL in the Spring of 2014 to work towards a Masters Degree in Education.
Education is my passion and I am so happy to be teaching young children. Other than teaching, I love to read, run, and travel. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband and our two sweet daughters. I ran my first half marathon in the spring of 2011 to raise money for my favorite charity SOULMATES. This charity raises money to fund the organization Girls on the Run. I am also a coach for the Girls on the Run team here at CLA. It is a wonderful organization and if your interested in learning more please take a look at the website!!
